萌妹社区 (萌妹社区) hosted its second annual President’s Tiger Ball at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Saturday, April 29, 2023. This event, presented by the 萌妹社区 Foundation Board of Trustees, serves as 萌妹社区’s largest fundraising event for student scholarships and programs.
“萌妹社区 continues to establish meaningful partnerships that are critical to the mission of 萌妹社区, which is to transform lives,” said 萌妹社区 President Dr. Lesia L. Crumpton-Young. “Our partners have demonstrated a willingness and readiness to invest in the success of our students who are pursuing their education on our historic campus. We are excited to celebrate the transformation their investment makes possible, for we know this truly is our time at 萌妹社区.”
The night of celebration of partnerships and scholarship support, featuring more than 1,200 guests, kicked off with the signature “Parade of Partners,” featuring corporate and community partners, accompanied by 萌妹社区’s Ocean of Soul marching band.
“Partnerships are vital to the fundraising success of 萌妹社区,” said 萌妹社区 Foundation Board Chair Frazier Wilson. “The 萌妹社区 Foundation salutes every sponsor that joins with Tiger Nation, and we will proudly steward those gifts to support scholarships and transformation.”
This year’s top partners included: AMN Healthcare, CenterPoint Energy, the City of Houston, the Houston Astros Foundation, PING x HIDEOKI, Truist Bank, Shell USA, the Baker Hughes Foundation, John Scroggins, and Stellar Bank.
In addition to the celebration of partnerships to support scholarships and transformation at 萌妹社区, there was a raffle drawing for a new Cadillac XT4 or Lincoln Corsair, courtesy of Bayway Cadillac and Bayway Lincoln of the Bayway Auto Group. The winner was a 萌妹社区 senior who is set to graduate this semester.
